A subgroup of the SIOPE nurses working group

In 2020 PanCare welcomed its first nurse to the board of PanCare and in November 2022 a small group of nurses formed the PanCare Nurses Working group.

In recent years there has been a growth in the number of nurses working within the field of long term follow up care. Within many European countries nurses are key members of the multi-disciplinary team, providing comprehensive late effects and survivorship care. Some nurses however experience difficulties accessing the education, training, research and service development opportunities they need. The PanCare Nurses Working Group aims to address these inequalities with the ultimate aim of achieving equity of care for all survivors of child, adolescent and young adult cancer and their families across Europe.
