YARN is an ambitious EU co-funded project designed to empower young people affected by cancer. YARN strengthens a growing European network of adolescents and young adults (AYA) impacted by cancer by implementing psychosocial and mental health care standards, offering education and career support, and developing comprehensive resources for long-term follow-up and transition of care.
Our webinar, held on 27th May 2026, was an engaging exploration of Living a Healthy Lifestyle after Cancer with the following speakers:
- Ian Murphy (Young person living beyond cancer, project coordinator and patient advocate at Childhood Cancer International — Europe)
- David Jiménez-Pavón (Full Professor, CEO of Move4Health and leader of the MOVE-IT Research Group at University of Cádiz)
- Saskia Pluijm (Senior-Scientist and Associate Group Leader at the Prinses Máxima Centrum voor kinderoncologie)
- Rui Rocha (Young person with lived cancer experience, digital content creator, university student in sports science and author)
- Marc Sampedro Pilegaard (Senior Researcher and Associate Professor at the Department of Social Medicine and Rehabilitation, Gødstrup Hospital, and Aarhus University)
