Professor Stanislaw Garwicz was one of the founding members of PanCare, launched in 2008. His wisdom and extensive knowledge were a continuing source of inspiration and guidance at the many PanCare meetings he attended. Notably, in the PanCareSurFup project (2011-2017) he was work package leader for the late mortality study.With great regret that we learned that Prof Stanislaw Garwicz passed away on 27^th of November 2018. His legacy as a caring and compassionate doctor to his patients and their parents should be an example to us all.Stanislaw will be greatly missed by everyone who had the blessing to meet him, both at home and across the world.In honour of his vital contribution to the advancement of the PanCare community, it has been decided to set up a Fund in his name: The Stanislaw Garwicz Memorial Fund for PanCare
