Nurse specialist

Vigdís completed a BSc degree in nursing from the University of Iceland in 1999 and has a working background in pediatric and adult nursing. She finished her MSc in pediatric nursing in 2011 and specialist training in 2018.

Vigdís works as a nurse specialist in a late effect follow-up center for adult childhood cancer survivors in Iceland, which she took a leading part in starting in 2016. She is also a Ph.D. student at the nursing faculty of the University of Iceland, focusing on the late effects of childhood cancer survivors.
